Food to Avoid with Arthritis
Not One, but Many

Food to avoid with arthritis shouldn't be considered in the singular, but rather as referring to a class of foods. Any food to which your body reacts with inflammation and pain is one you should avoid if you have arthritis.

Due to the lack of variety in modern diets, for many people there are multiple foods included in that food category.

However, the problem then becomes knowing which foods those are for you, personally. Every person is different, and your reaction to food will be different as well.

We'll start this page with a list of those foods most commonly blamed for problems in arthritic sufferers, then we'll discuss how you can know which bother you, and what other options you may have to successfully alleviate your arthritis suffering.

The foods to avoid are:

Meat and Dairy are foods some should avoid with arthritis.

Additionally, some think foods high in Oxalic acid, these include rhubarb, spinach, chard cranberries, and plums should also be off limits.

A Personal Matter

Everyone's body is different. What may cause arthritis pain for one person may not bother his brother, or neighbor, in the least.

If you don't like any of the foods listed above, it will be easy to quite eating them, but for most, some of the things in that table may be your favorite foods. In that case, eliminating them from your diet won't be easy.

In order to be effective, you should quit eating all the above foods for a month to six weeks. Then you can begin to add them back in your diet one at a time, every four days.

If your pain levels increase within a day or two after eating the food, you'll know you have a food sensitivity and will need to eliminate that food from your diet in the future.

If you have no increase in pain, then you can assume you are not sensitive to that food and re-introduce it to your regular eating plans. In this way, you can find out to which of the above foods your body is sensitive, and improve your health by avoiding them.

The theory behind this approach is that although you may not have a full blown allergic reaction to foods, your body can have low level sensitivities that increase your pain levels, as well as low level inflammation throughout your body.

This will obviously cause more severe arthritis than you would otherwise have.

Other Paths to Relief

Since arthritis is an inflammatory condition, eating foods that lower inflammation levels in your body may well help your arthritis as much as eliminating those mentioned above.
Vegetables and fruits high in Vitamins C and A can help your body fight inflammation thereby helping you heal from arthritis. align=

Of course, citrus fruits are high in Vitamin C, but you should check to see if your are sensitive to them, before adding them for their vitamin content.

Another Path

Although some may insist there is no other path, I believe my husband has found one. You may think I'm crazy, but keep reading and you'll understand my reasoning, I trust.

The reason to avoid these foods is because your body is sensitive to them, so they increase your pain. If you can decrease your body's sensitivity without avoiding the foods, then avoidance wouldn't be necessary. I believe there are several ways to accomplish that goal.

The first way would be to add my "top pick" to your diet. This super food supplement enabled me to stop all allergy medications when I took enough of it. I'm not sure how it worked, but I know it did work.

Click on the preceding link for all the details about this supplement and where to get it. It not only fights inflammation, but helps your body heal by boosting the release of your own adult stem cells by 3 to 4 million cells for about six hours after each dose.

It has been a great help to my husband with his arthritis, although it doesn't work over night. If you don't want to eliminate all the foods listed above, this would probably provide an alternative.

The second supplement that might help you without avoiding the above foods is the total body cleanse supplement. This easy to use colorless zeolite liquid, enables your body to get rid of all the toxic overload it may be dealing with.

The more toxins you get rid of, the less problems you'll have with allergies and allergic reactions, overall. If you add this supplement, it might eliminate the food sensitivities without you needing to quit eating the foods you love.

A final approach to dealing with the food sensitivities you may have would be to address the problems with allergies directly through using the allergy kit. This all natural process claims to teach your body to react normally to foods and substances to which you now have allergic reactions.

Conclusions

If these categories of food contain most of your favorites, don't despair and head for the doctors to get a prescription.

Try the alternative approaches I've suggested above. You may well find they will take care of your food sensitivities so you don't need to worry about food to avoid with arthritis, and allow your body to heal from your arthritis as well.

However, please realize that just as you'll need to take arthritis drugs long term to mask the symptoms of arthritis, in a similar way, you'll need to continue to take the supplements recommended above to enable long term healing.

If you aren't willing to make the commitment to using supplements, then you'll need to make the commitment to changing your diet.

If you aren't willing to do either, eventually your arthritis pain will likely force you to commit to using arthritis drugs that will alleviate your symptoms, even while they continue to worsen the underlying condition.

I've always believed it is better to seek natural healing through nutrition and supplements. When you try this approach, I suspect you'll agree.
