Menopause Vitamins -Natural Relief for Menopause Symptoms

Menopause Vitamins will frequently overcome menopause symptoms caused by slight deficiencies which won't show up in normal medical tests.

Perhaps the easiest way to overcome troubling symptoms is by getting more of the vitamin that would most likely resolve that problem. If the symptom disappears, you know that you needed more of that vitamin and you should continue to supplement, or make it a point to eat more foods rich in that vitamin.

Practically every vitamin will help with some specific menopause symptoms. For ease of use I'll list them in alphabetical order and mention which symptoms they will help resolve.

Menopause Vitamins - Help Specific Symptoms

  • Vitamin A is reported to help with dry skin, and is also very helpful to protect night vision.
  • B Vitamins are a complex of water soluble vitamins that generally should be taken together. They help with mood swings, anxiety, and depression. Vitamins B6 and B12 also improve energy levels.

When I went to the doctor because my parents felt I was too frustrated and had too many mood swings after menopause, I wasn't able to get any hormonal help due to my history of breast cancer.

Instead the doctor suggested I try a B-100 Vitamin supplement. It was quite helpful to me for the emotional menopause symptoms I was struggling with.

  • Vitamin C is a powerful water soluble antioxidant vitamin. It is particularly helpful to our skin and connective tissue. It also makes Vitamin E last longer and work better.

So if you notice your skin is aging very rapidly, or your immune system seems to always be run down, this vitamin will definitely help.

Most sources say you can take 1,000 to 2,000 milligrams a day with no problems. If you overdose, it could cause a case of the runs, but the solution is simple. Lower your dose until the diarrhea stops. That lower dose is probably all you'll need.

  • Vitamin DIs a fat soluble vitamin that works with calcium to keep our bones strong.

Our bodies make it when we're exposed to sunshine, but if we live outside the tropics we probably don't get enough for about two thirds of the year. If you work inside and don't get out much, you may well not get enough year round.

Many doctors now recommend menopausal women should get at least 800 to 1,000IU of Vitamin D on a daily basis, especially during late fall, winter, and early spring.

  • Vitamin E Helps to relieve hot flashes for menopausal women and tender breasts as well. It is a powerful antioxidant so it will improve your overall health if used regularly. It is also an important vitamin for heart health.

It is a fat soluble vitamin, so you need to be sure not to take more than 800 IU on a long term basis to avoid overdosing.

It is also important not to use the synthetic form of this vitamin. That form is dl-tocophorol. The natural form is d-tocophorol.

  • Vitamin K,is also a bone building nutrient. If we have enough friendly intestinal bacteria, we won't need to supplement, because intestinal bacteria make vitamin K for us.
A multi-vitamin provides a menopause vitamin safety net.
But if a broad spectrum anti-biotic is ever necessary, it will kill the friendly bacteria along with the bad bugs, causing a vitamin K deficiency within a week to two weeks time.

If you find yourself in that situation, be sure to supplement with Vitamin K along with friendly colon bacteria, also known as probiotics, for as long as you have to be on the antibiotics and at least a month afterward.

You can get foundational help by using a good multivitamin on a regular basis. I consider mine health insurance in a pill.

    Vitamin World

If you'd like reliable suppliers, I recommend either Vitamin World, or the Life Extension Foundation. Vitamin world is truly an economical choice. They have frequently worked well for me. The latter has a higher quality vitamin, but they are also more expensive.

    Conclusion

In my mind menopause vitamins aren't a cure-all for menopause symptoms. Balancing my hormones by using a natural progesterone cream has been much more effective for me.

However if you can't use hormones of any kind, or even if you just don't want to use them, menopause vitamins may well improve some of your most troubling symptoms, or eliminate them entirely.

They are natural menopause relief that you can get without even using supplements, by simply eating high quality vitamin containing foods.

But if those foods aren't available to you, or you know you aren't eating them, menopause vitamins will also meet your needs.
