What in the World is Salba?
Salba is actually a seed. It has been called the world's perfect food. It could be called a super food fiber. You probably understand the need for fiber in your diet. In fact you may be one of those people who mix a fiber supplement with water or juice and drink it every day. If you don't really understand fiber's role in healthy digestion, please

Consider Its Benefits
One tablespoon of ground salba provides: 42 grams of fiber 2,500 milligrams of Omega-3 fatty acids. They say you'd need to eat over a pound and a half of salmon to get that much from it. At least twenty-one grams of vegetable protein that is more complete than the kind you get from soy. 92 milligrams of calcium 46 milligrams of magnesium over 500 milligrams of vitamin C at least twenty-four other nutrients.
How do you Use it?
You grind it before using it and store any ground seed you don't use in the refrigerator so it won't spoil. You can grind it in a food processor, blender, or in a coffee grinder. I use my coffee grinder.
Why Use It ?
It gives excellent nutrition along with boosting fiber intake. Its taste is so neutral you can mix it with anything and you won't notice any difference in taste. It isn't gritty like many other fibers. It mixes easily with other foods. I've used it in breads, grits, cereals, and salads. It doesn't bother my husband any more than it does me. He doesn't even seem to notice it. You'll enjoy not having to swallow pills, or mix a drink, to get enough fiber to avoid digestive problems.
Where Can You Get It?
This supplement is available from Amazon Salba Super Grain (100% Pure Salvia Hispanica L) - 2lbs. (2 bottles) or from other online suppliers. By doing an online search, you can find many health food stores that carry it as well.
Concluding Considerations
Although this is considered a supplement, it is in actuality a food, in fact a superfood. A small amount provides a large amount of nutrition. If you want to be healthy, it is a wonderful addition to your diet.
