Sherilyn's Saving Supplement Solutions, Issue #010 Menopause Help, October 2009 October 08, 2009 |
Dear ,Menopause Help - Many Natural Remedies for Menopause are Available...Menopause help has been my focus for the past few months. I had no idea it would expand as it has, but it has seemed to grow as I've researched and pondered how I can best be of help to you. Of course, the majority of what I've written has been geared to us ladies, but I did write one page this month for men, titled male menopause symptoms. One of my projects for the near future will be to write a page covering men's health in general, so that I can group some of the most important health issues for men under it. In addition to the previously mentioned page for men, I wrote pages about menopause headaches, spotting after menopause, or bleeding, pre menopause symptoms, and peri menopause symptoms. As you can see, I have been busy, though possibly not as busy as I should have been. If anyone has been looking for this newsletter, I'm sure you've noticed it is at least a couple of weeks late. There are several reasons... Personal News
We started the month of September with a visit to our son and daughter-in-law...well technically he's my husband's son, but when we married I accepted his family as mine, so that's why I say "our" son. Anyway, we went to see him over the labor day week-end and had a wonderful time.
In addition to seeing him we also got to see our youngest grandson who is just over two years old now. We've only seen him a couple of times since he was born, so we were missing him (and them) too much to put the trip off any longer. We had a wonderful time, and Wesley gets cuter every time we see him. Of course I'm prejudiced, but even though the picture above is a little distorted, I think you'll all agree he's a cutie. In addition, a couple of weeks later my sisters were all in town to celebrate a very special birthday with my mother a few months early. She will shortly become an octogenarian, but since her birthday is in January, she wanted us to help her celebrate early. Needless to say, I didn't get much done on the site that week either, but we did get a current family picture made, and it was good to be with them all again. I have three sisters in my immediate family. My oldest sister stayed with us because Mom & Dad's place is too small for everyone to be comfortable, but we all spent all of our waking hours over at Mom & Dad's helping her celebrate. This was Mom's chosen present. It's amazing how difficult it can be for grown women to get away from there own lives for something like that! Mom had wanted a full week, but my oldest sister teaches piano and it was a bad time to leave her students. She was here the longest of any of the sisters from out of town. She actually stayed for six days. My youngest sister is starting a gourmet coffee roasting business called Silver Bridge Coffee. She is gearing up for the Bob Evan's Farm Festival over in Ohio so she was only able to be here three days. My next youngest sister came with her. Of course they drove, so with travel time, they were still gone almost a week, but that didn't leave Mom with a full week with her girls. Nonetheless, she seemed to enjoy the time she had. That week was the week I would have normally written this newsletter... I trust you can understand why that didn't happen. I could have written it the following week, but I didn't because my future plans were in flux during that week, and I figured if I waited just a little more, I could probably share them with you. However, if I wait any longer now this letter might not get written for another two months, so it is definitely the time to write...
Looking AheadA week from today, we will be leaving for our next mission trip to Puerto Rico. We are planning to drive by way of Greenville, South Carolina, where I will visit with one of my sisters we haven't visited for two or three years, as well as many close friends who are almost like family to me. We will be there for about a week and then drive on to Florida. After about three days there to rest up, we will catch a plane from Fort Lauderdale on October 27th to Puerto Rico, where we will be working in Mayaguez and Aguadilla for about three and a half weeks. We plan to return to Florida on the 19th of November. Once again we will rest in Florida with our friends over the weekend, and drive home on the 23rd of November, Lord willing. We need to be home for Thanksgiving since we always have a big dinner for family and friends on that day. We aren't sure who will be here, or how that will work out since we'll be gone so close to the date, but we do know our son from Iowa is planning to come with his family, so we do need to be back.
Fortunately I am able to take my computer with me, and I'm sure I will have some time to work on the site, but I usually have to walk to a library or somewhere to make an internet connection, so it is a lot more difficult to get things done. Sometimes it is all I can do to keep up with email on these trips. If you'd like more information about the trips please visit the site we've started to keep people informed about them called http://www.electrifying-mission-trips.org. We even have a newsletter that we try to send out on a monthly basis, just so that people know what is going on. Actually, the site belongs to Dennis, my husband, but I do all the computer work on it, and up to this point, I go on all the trips with him, so I consider it ours. I plan to continue giving menopause help on the site during these next weeks as I have the opportunity. There are still several menopause symptoms I've not had the chance to write about yet. Hopefully that will change in the near future. Additionally I hope to write an overall men's health page as well. We'd appreciate your prayers that the Lord will give us safety as we travel, that the car will work right, and that we'll be able to get a lot done for the churches we'll be working with. It promises to be a very busy, as well as an enjoyable, time.
