Why Worry about a type 2 diabetes cure? After the shock of a diabetes diagnosis wears off, isn't it just easier to take the medicine your doctor prescribes, and get on with your life? These are good questions, and it is important to understand the answers. In short, the answer is, because taking responsibility for your own health, and finding the cure for type 2 diabetes, will let you avoid all the complications of diabetes. What are those complications? For starters:
As you can see from these grim facts, diabetes is a health destroyer, and a killer. Since I'm no doctor, you may wonder where I've gotten my facts from. They are based on a report by Dr. Whitaker, a leading, and well respected Doctor in the alternative health field. Type 2 Diabetes Cure

However, the drugs they prescribe won't "take care of the problem", in fact, over time, they are almost guaranteed to make the problem worse.
Each drug used to treat diabetes has serious side effects and complications. Most only treat the symptoms while doing nothing to treat the underlying problems.
For example the most frequently prescribed drug used to lower blood sugar, does so by forcing the body to produce more insulin.
However, since the problem for type 2 diabetes isn't caused by lack of insulin, but by the body's inability to use it, this approach will never resolve the problem.
There are, however, some drugs that are supposed to improve insulin sensitivity, but unfortunately their side effects include liver failure and death, so you should think long and hard before using them.
Conventional diabetes drugs are more harmful than placebo. This was proven in two different scientific studies, one conducted in 1969, and the other in February 2008.
The hypothesis for both was that aggressive blood sugar lowering drugs would decrease the risks of heart attacks and strokes. But in both studies, the experiments were halted early because those using the drugs were dying from cardiovascular events at such an accelerated rate.
The study in 2008 was halted 18 months early because of increased risks to those being given the most aggressive drug therapy. The researchers professed to be "shocked" by the results in spite of the fact that they were the same results as the earlier study conducted in 1969.
This study was halted two years early, as well, because those using the drugs were "250 to 300" times more likely to die, than those being given the placebos.
Apparently, this is another example of those who fail to learn from the past, and so repeat its mistakes!

Unfortunately it is far easier for both doctors, and patients, to ignore the truths these studies have revealed, and continue with their familiar habits. So, that is what many will do.
But if you've read this far, I'm hoping you'll be different. It is better to do nothing, than to use conventional drugs to treat diabetes. But you definitely shouldn't do nothing either.
Instead determine to work on...
Although weight loss isn't so much something you do, as a result of doing the other three things we've already mentioned, nonetheless, it is one key to a successful type 2 diabetes cure.
Each step, or key, needs a full page dedicated to it so you can clearly understand the specifics. If one has already been written, you'll see the link to it above. If not, I'll be writing it in the near future.
If you'd like to check out the medical expert I've based many of my ideas on, you may want to check out the book to the right by Dr. Al Sears, a cardiologist.
