HRT and Osteoporosis

I started to have menopausal symptoms when I was 38, and now at 44 am on HRT. My doctor told me this was a 'must' because I have a history of osteoporosis in the family.
Is there a natural way to protect myself against osteoporosis? And is it too late for me to combat my menopause in a natural way, now that I have started on the HRT path?
Answer: Hi Julie,
Thanks so much for this question. I'm sure you aren't the only one in your position. To answer your first question, yes there is a natural way to protect yourself against osteoporosis.
And in answer to the second, no,it isn't too late for you to deal with menopause in a natural way even though you have started on an HRT patch.
However, the HRT patch over time may make your transition through menopause much more difficult. But without knowing the exact ingredients of the patch, it is impossible to give specific advice.
I would recommend that you read the Premenopause page I've previously written.
In addition, since I know there is an interest in the topic of Osteoporosis, I'll write a page about Osteoporosis and the natural ways to prevent it in the near future.
It will be good for me to do further research and present it, since I have a history of osteoporosis in my family, as well.
