Magnesium Salt Resolves Cramping Problems.

by John

(Editor's Note)If you have a problem with cramping after exertion, you'll want to check out this entry by John.

I can sweat horribly, in bed, while working out, you name it. The "body salts" literally form traces in my bed and on black t-shirts. the sweating is caused by being obese and being active.

When, in warm periods, I really was loosing salts and minerals fast, I would get cramps in the stomach area and in my legs.

My doctor got alerted to the cramps, and pulled me through diabetes testing.

I was not a diabetic.

It took quite a while before I realized what I needed.

When I would eat one of those instant-soups (cup a soup) I would feel more active and cramp free, almost immediately. That's how I got pointed to the possibility of a salt deficiency.

Salt deficiency is rare, nowadays everything that is served is full of salt. I learned that there were different kind of salts, potassium salt, calcium salt, magnesium salt, and so on.

But what salts was I missing? I tried potassium but that did not make a difference, just a bit. But, my reaction to Magnesium salts was unbelievably good.

I use magnesium 400...quite a dose.

I've since learned, magnesium apparently helps with the signal guiding from the brain to the muscles. And helps with the digestive system.

Only 1 or 2 tablets per week and I am out of trouble.

Great stuff.

The weird part is that I used to believe that food should have all nutrients in it to comfortably survive.

That's now proven not to be true. In modern culture growth, crops are placed in a plastic replacement soil, with the roots in a slow flowing water stream which is filled with nutrients.

Some nutrients do not dissolve easily in water, magnesium being one of them. That's why you get little magnesium in your food and thus in your body.

I would suggest those who are obese, like me, when they become physically active, observe their salt levels, especially magnesium.

Magnesium helps the flexibility of the muscles too!

I am quite happy with my find :)
